BNI – THE Place for Business Referrals

We are a growing group of local businesses and trades from around Eastleigh and the surrounding areas who meet at Kings Country Restaurant in Botley with one purpose in mind – and that is to help one another get more business.

We have passed more than £100,000 worth of business within the last 12 months and for a small group of business people that’s a fantastic achievement. Why don’t you come along and check out the opportunity and if it’s not right for you – you can say you have had a great breakfast, met a friendly and entertaining bunch of people and you never know you might just pick up a bit of extra business whilst you are at it!

Hi, this is Nigel Williams here from Afford A Print. I am delighted to announce we are having our first Visitors Day of 2012, on Thursday the 12^th of January.

Everyone is welcome to come along and meet us! If it’s your first time, then don’t worry, I joined BNI last year and my first day was a Visitors Day. At first I was quite nervous, but I felt so welcomed that the nerves soon disappeared. You won’t be disappointed!

BNI is like no other business networking event I have ever been to. So why not come along and have breakfast with us. All you need to do now is go to our ‘Contact Us’ page, send us a message and we’ll make sure that you get your invitation. Alternatively give us a call on 07818 857387 and we will be happy to give you more information.

If you can’t make it on the 12th, just let us know when you would like to come along. Visitors are always welcome.

As usual, there will be a warm welcome for you, together with refreshments and a full English breakfast. All members and visitors get to deliver their own 60 Second Presentation about their business (see our ‘Visit Us’ page to download the 60 second template guide), so don’t forget to come prepared. Make sure that you bring a lot of business cards as you’ll get to meet plenty of other local business contacts.

If you’re able to join us, registration and open networking starts at around 6:40am, with the main formal part of the meeting starting at 7:00am. The meeting usually finishes around 8:30 – 8:45am, but many people stay on to network more afterwards.

You do need to bring along £10 to cover the cost of your refreshments and breakfast.

Get ready for THE meeting for business referrals – You never know who you might meet!

Changing venues is always a little daunting, as we found out the first time we moved.

After all, you never really know whether the reality will live up to the promise and expectation that prompts you to choose the new venue – at least, not until after you’ve committed and made the move.

Kings Country Bar and Restaurant at Pinkmead Farm certainly offered us lots of promise.  It’s a lovely place with a very warm and comfortable ‘feel’ to it, which, only adds to the expectation.

Of course, a BNI Chapter. like BNI Uplands Eastleigh, does have some fairly specific requirements and the way these are handled by the staff is critical to our feeling at home.  Not to mention the quality of breakfast on offer.

I’m very pleased to say that the promise and expectation have not only been met but have been exceeded by the team at Kings.  And for that, we’re really grateful.  We’ve been really well looked after and the they’ve done everything possible to make us feel at home.  Not only that but we’ve had universal praise for the standard of the breakfast, with one exception …………  there’s was just too much food!

I probably shouldn’t say this but we actually ended up asking the staff to reduce the size of the breakfast to make it a little more manageable.  It just seemed such a waste when no-one came close to eating everything on their plate.  The slightly reduced portions have gone down well (literally) and we really appreciate the fact that Kings responded to our needs so readily.

The BNI Uplands Eastleigh Team

The whole team at BNI Uplands Eastleigh are pleased to announce that we’re holding a Visitors Day on Thursday 8th September 2011.

Although, visitors are always welcome, every now and again we have a real push to get lots of visitors in the room at one time and, if you haven’t been to BNI before, or if you’d like to come along again simply go to our ‘Contact Us’ page and let us know that you’d like to come along.  In fact, if you can’t make the 8th just let us know when you would like to visit and we’ll get you booked in.

What can you expect on a Visitors Day?

Well, there will be a warm welcome for you, as well as, a full english breakfast and refreshments.  At BNI members and visitors always get to deliver their own 60 Second Presentation about their business and one of the members will be delivering a 10 Minute Presentation.  You’ll get to see what happens during our ‘Contribution Section’ and, of course, you’ll get to meet and network with a lot of enthusiastic local business people.

And, who knows, you may even get to meet your next,  best customer.

It’s always exciting to unveil anything that’s completely new (a bit like opening a present) so you can imagine how excited we all are to announce our all new, very shiny, informative and interactive BNI Uplands Eastleigh website.

The site now has far more information on it but is still a bit of a work in progress.

We’ve got a ‘Visit Us‘ page containing a map and details of how to find us (just got to the ‘Contact Us‘ page if you’d like to come along for a visit), there’s some information about BNI and you really shouldn’t miss the ‘BNI Song‘.  There are some excellent ‘Resources‘ and we have a ‘Members List‘ to which we’ll be adding member profiles in the near future.
